“Custom, one-of-a-kind invitations... there’s such a thing?”



But, we have a few steps involved along the way that you should be aware of before we jump in!


Step One:

Contact me and I will send you a questionnaire to fill out to give me a little bit of insight into you and your partner, or your event you are hosting. This is how I will know you are serious. If you take the time to answer all my questions with thought and insight—you’re my type of client!


 But, don’t be intimidated if you don’t know all of the answers—this may be the first time you’ve even considered one-of-a-kind, custom-designed invitations. I just want you to have a sense of what you’re in for. You might already have specific ideas about what you want (YAY!!! Lay it on me!) Or you may need some help with creative idea generation (again—YAY! You’re in the right spot, please don’t leave yet!)

Step Two:

This is important! As soon as I receive your completed questionnaire, I am committed and my creative juices are flowing. I will be sketching on anything that I can draw on, day-dreaming, researching, etc… because that’s how I roll. This is a process, and it’s how I make my living. I don’t use already-designed templates; everything starts from scratch. 

As soon as you are committed, I am committed. 


As much as I would love to offer this service for free to everyone, I have to support my family as well. That is why I ask for a non-refundable deposit of $200. This compensates me for my time and energy that will be going into making your guests feel like they are attending the most epic, well-thought-out, personalized event of their lives! 

It also ensures I have YOUR DATE and YOUR EVENT on my calendar, and I schedule my life around that!

Once I hear the magic words, “OMG! It’s PERFECT!!!” we move onto Step 3.


Step Three:


Option A

You fall in love with your custom-designed invitation and matching RSVP card. You are a resourceful, crafty person who knows what they want, so you opt to do the printing yourself! You send me the remaining balance of $200, and I send you a PDF file ready for DIY printing!


Perhaps you love it so much you want everything matching! Let’s talk about add-ons such as:

  • Programs?

  • Place cards?

  • Menus?

  • Signage?

  • Seating Charts?

  • Wedding Vows?

  • Love Notes?

Each element is a little more work, so there will be an additional charge of $50 per PDF file created, and custom quotes for hand-written add-ons.

Option B

You fall in love with your custom-designed invitation and matching RSVP card. You wouldn’t know your way around a paper store, so there is NO WAY you are printing your own invitations.


And envelopes? What do you mean envelopes come in different colours? Perhaps allow me to take care of printing for you! (But still send me the $200 for the completed design, thanks!)


I will let you know the cost of printing once we have had a conversation about type of paper you want, envelopes, etc.


There are many different variables that come into play…how many you need, quality of paper, etc. I can usually let you know within a day or two what your additional charges are, and the required time frame. 

Perhaps you love it so much you want everything matching! Let’s talk about add-ons such as:
•    Programs?
•    Place cards?
•    Menus?
•    Signage?
•    Seating Charts?
•    Wedding Vows?
•    Love Notes?


Each add-on will receive a custom quote based on all of the above-mentioned variables.

Step Four:

I’m so glad you’ve stuck around this long—you must be serious.

You like what you’ve read so far, but those hand-addressed envelopes in that fancy calligraphy? Yes PLEASE!

By now I’m sure you’ve guessed, yes, there is an additional charge for that service as well. But sooooo worth it! 

Your guests will experience a literal moment of joy, perhaps even a squeal of delight, when they open up their mailbox and see this little beauty. Cost: $2.00 per address. If you have opted to print your invitations yourself, but still want your envelopes addressed, just send them off to me, return postage or shipping paid as well, please!


Step Five:

Phew, we’re nearing the end, I promise. 

It’s all about timing now. As you can see, there’s lots of steps, therefore I would appreciate as much notice as possible.

As soon as you have secured your dates and locations, I can get started. In a perfect world, I require a minimum of eight weeks (10 weeks if I’m doing the printing!). But this world isn’t always perfect.  If you need a rush order, please let me know. There’ll be an additional 20% charge, but if I can squeeze you in, I will. If I can’t, I will be sad, but I’ll be honest.
